Pengelolaan Limbah Non B3 (Bahan Berbahaya dan Beracun) Di PT Urban Asia Industri Bali

Abstract

Objectives: Waste is one of the major problems that is felt by almost every country. The amount of waste has even increased along with the development of the era. Waste problems are obtained from various sectors, especially in the industrial sector. Based on data from the Ministry of Industry in 2016, the growth of the industrial market over the past 5 years reached 9.67%, including the cosmetics industry. This industrial waste problem is one of the things that needs to be considered by industry players and
the government because if not handled properly, industrial waste can cause various hazards and cause environmental damage that will disrupt the lives of living things.
Methods: This research is a descriptive research conducted using data collection methods by observation and interview with a cross sectional approach.
Results: PT. Urban Asia Industri is an industry engaged in the largest cosmetic manufacturing sector in Eastern Indonesia. From the cosmetic processing activities, PT. Urban Asia Industri produ ces Non Hazardous and Toxic Waste (Non B3 Waste). PT. Urban Asia Industri carries out several waste processing processes so as not to cause pollution or damage to the environment. industrial waste which
includes n on B3 waste in the form of solid and liquid waste.
Conclusions: Wastewater treatment at PT Urban Asia Industri Bali consists of 3 stages, namely primary treatment, secondary treatment, and tertiary treatment. Primary treatment is the first treatment that aims to separate solids and liquids using filters and sedimentation tanks. Secondary treatment is the 
second treatment, aimed at stabilizing organic substances in waste. Tertiary treatment is a continuation of the second treatment, namely removing nutrients or nutrients, and adding chlorine to de stroy
pathogenic microorganisms.
