Potensi Perkembangan Wisata Medis di Indonesia

Abstract
Objectives: The tourism sector in Indonesia has a large contribution in the country's economic growth. Indonesia shows an increase in the number of foreign tourists as well as the country's foreign exchange growth from the tourism sector. Medical tourism is one type of tourism that is growing in Indonesia.
Methods: This research is qualitative research with literature study method. The data used are secondary data obtained from scientific journal articles, books, research reports, statistical data, and related website articles.
Results: The results showed that several cities in Indonesia, such as Medan, Jakarta, Surabaya, Bali, and Jogjakarta, have developed medical tourism. Thereare severalactors that influence the interest of medical tourists in seeking medical care abroad, namely affordability, availability of types and quality of medical care, ease of obtaining medical care, and technological advances. Although medical tourism in Indonesia is still in the development stage and not as popular as in other Asian countries, along with the development of tourism in Indonesia, medical tourism is starting to become an alternative for tourists who want to get quality medical care at a more affordable cost.
Conclusions: Several cities in Indonesia already have adequate medical facilities to support the development of medical tourism, including hospitals, clinics, and beauty treatment centers. In order to develop medical tourism in Indonesia, efforts need to be made to clarify the amount of costs that must be incurred, improve the quality of medical care, improve infrastructure, and utilize technological advances to improve the services offered. With these steps, it is hoped that medical tourism in Indonesia can continue to grow and attract medical tourists both from within and outside the country.
