GAMBARAN UPAYA PENANGGULANGAN TUBERKULOSIS DI KOTA SURAKARTA

Abstract

Objectives: The find out the overview of tuberculosis control efforts in sSurakarta city.
Methods: This type of research is descriptive research to describe innovations in TB control efforts in Surakarta City.
Results: The results of the research show that preventing tuberculosis (TB) in the City of Surakarta includes strengthening the commitment and leadership of the Central Government, Provincial Government and Regional Government of the City of Surakarta; increasing access to quality and patient-oriented TB services; intensification of health efforts in the context of TB control; increasing research, development and innovation in the field of TB control; increasing the participation of communities, stakeholders and other multi-sectors in TB control; and strengthening program management.
Conclusions: Based on the TB control efforts that have been carried out by the Surakarta City Health Service, it is necessary to develop a broader referral system that includes collaboration with pulmonary specialist associations and independent practice doctors as well as private clinics that do not yet provide TB services.
